JUL 13.18 Digital art progress

Here's a little update on my digital art progress!

I carried a sketchbook around everywhere to doodle my ideas down as soon as they popped into my mind. I found that drawing small thumbnails allowed me to quickly experiment with different compositions and expressions. I suggest using pen for ideation, because sometimes ideas that don't seem the best or the most perfect in the beginning may spurr new spinoffs in the future. I wanted to work on giving my illustrations flow and personality it really makes a world of a difference in making them look less flat and more natural.

Online tutorials were my best friend to learn how to get the results I needed. I would go in with the mindset of learning a specific technique for an illustration. Sometimes I found exactly what I was looking for, and sometimes I would find bits and pieces of skills I needed and improvised from there XD

I also love using palettes of colours I don't normally work or that aren't 'safe' with to start of experimental illustrations and correct the colours as I go on. It usually gives me a product that is suprisingly unexpected! "Do or do not, there is no how." (don't ask me about Star Wars, that's like the only line I know, hate me if you will XD.) Looking forward to more fun :3

Until next time!
